Leaving Vaiula :(

I was sad to leave Vaiula, but it had to be done. I had already extended my stay there a couple of times, yes - it's THAT kind of place, and needed to move on so I could see more of Samoa. Two of Vaiula's guests - Jenny and Dave, were nice enough to give me a lift to the ferry on the west coast. We took the scenic route and on the way stopped to do a short hike to a waterfall. The hike was crazy muddy but it was beautiful.

I arrived at the ferry terminal about 3 minutes before its departure but managed to get a ticket quickly and run on board. The trip across to Savai'i was about an hour and a half and gorgeous.
